I love fashion. I always did. I try to keep in touch with all trends set from fashion designers, be it the big names in the industry or those still to be discovered. I am also an impulsive consumer of fashion, trendsetting magazines and shows. And, when it comes to accessories, I’m just… totally mad about it.
It is a passion that has born and grown with me. I always felt fascinated by fabrics, colors, patterns, leathers, metals and all we can do with it.
From an early age I would draw my own clothes for our dressmaker to execute and I would change a big part of the accessories I would buy into new pieces according to my own image. Sometimes I would do it in an almost obsessive way. As a result I ended having unique and original accessories or a lot more than I had bought, as a necklace could result into 2 or 3 different pieces such as a bracelet and a set of earrings
Today I have a vast collection of accessories and I doubt anyone in her perfect mind has such quantity (not only bijouterie but also belts, shoes, wallets, bags.. and clothes, a lot of clothes).
Jump a few good years forward. It was November 2010 and very close to me I watched several projects being born – Bainha de Copas, Aladina and O Meu Monstrinho.
These projects and the wonderful people leading them were the motivation and push I needed to turn my life passion into my own project.
And that was how Be With Me came to life, in a tremendous creative environment where I am happy to work on every single day, made by BRIGHT persons that have helped me to create a name, a brand and to make it happen.
I love my day-to-day job, but with Be With Me my life was far more completed and interesting. I use to say that Be With Me is my life project, only second to Madalena’s birth. It completes and fulfills me.
I can’t imagine my life without creating anymore. I live in a constant brainstorm for new ideas that end up to be the spark for new accessories’ collections. Up to now, in about 2 and a half years I already created more than 600 pieces.
But I’m not stopping here. I have a huge will to make it grow to a whole new level. But for now, that is still a story kept in Gods’ secrecy.
